love this series but dvd quality is soo much better!
heie and karama are the coolest i like yuske too of course
what about my boy Kuabara!! Hes great! he makes the show! Great show, 2nd best anime show behind Dragonball Z
Awesome show.
is it me or is it completely obvious that one of them can escape and pull the lever back and they all survive
“I don’t know guys, he’s still a talking rock.” lol
DBZ doesn’t even count as an anime it’s just a cartoon. I hate when stupid people say DBZ is the best anime it’s obvious they don’t know what they’re talking about.
It’s rather obvious that you have no idea what your talking about. Dragonball, Dragonball Z are both origianally created by Akira Toriyama as a manga series which later became the anime. and Yes it is one of the best if not ‘the’ best anime show of all time.
i never said it WASNT an anime i said IT DIDNT COUNT as an anime. its so americanized now that it loses all of the qualities that makes up an anime. it is an anime im not disagreeing with that. im just stating that people who think its the best one out there are full of it and need to see what REAL anime is all about.
I wish that I have the flower of plants and be as smart as karama
Genbu sound like the announcer form the OLD tekken and motal combat games.
@rizzo… saying dbz doesn’t count as an anime is the same as saying it’s not an anime at all… any of the “cartoon” shows that originate from japan are typically of the “anime” genre… whether they are short anime(shonin onmyoji) or extremely long(bleach or naruto)
Kuwabara, Yusuke, and Kurama are like the powerpuff girls!!! And Hiei is like professor Utonium!
Kuwabara is bubbles cuz he’s blue
Yusuke is Buttercup cuz he’s green
and Kurama is Blossom cuz he’s pink/red!
Hiei is Prof. Utonium cuz he’s black and white!
Yay!
kuwabara: it smells girly, i don’t think i like it
yusuke: oh sure, i guess he should be a tough guy like you who would be obsessed with kittens
Hey rizzo I agree with what u say about DBZ being americanized. However admin is correct as well about the creation of it. And if u have ever watched any of the original japanese versions of the show, u would see that the americanization doesnt change all that much. the dialogue, story line, and characters all remain virtually the the same. that being said if you can come to the realization that DBZ, either american or japanese versions are really 80% screaming and powering up, 15% fighting, and 5% story and still enjoy it the DBZ is and will always be one of the greatest animes ever.
(Side Note)- Just to prove my point it took 4 episodes of goku screaming just to turn super saien. That took a whole month at an episode a week.
Rose Whip lash? Seriously? Whiplash?
The four of them make the most hilarious team ever. Love this show.
on the whole topic of dbz, id like to say that its an anime. anime being the shortening of animation. all cartoons are anime. its just the way we call one thing or another to be an anime or cartoon. its the genre. yes. the tv series does have a large amount of screaming in it. that is for the fact that its filler and it was to allow the creator more time to make more chapters as the show went. because in japan if somethings liked they make the anime when theyre not finished. manga coming out every week or so and taking breaks while the show also comes out without breaks. so they need to produce filler to allow it to not go farther than the books do. thus world games and garlic jr sagas exist when they do not in the manga. yes, it is a lot of dialogue, but it could be said for most people trying to fill in something more than just a large amount of fighting. no its not the best fighting but it is in itself a really good anime. it is my favorite anime. i will not say its the best though. clearly a lot of anime are as good. sadly my knowledge of anime is sometimes outclassed by most others but i know that one piece, naruto, and bleach three very popular anime right now have loads of filler. more than one arc. naruto has about 8 arcs of filler in a row sometimes and its not even the best either. yes you could say at least its not screaming but at least it stayed to the main arc where the filler in dbz was for them to show what happened before the time skips. lastly id like to state that alot of people bash on kuwabara. which is sad as everyone always like hiei and kurama either because hiei is badass or kurama is good looking and has some inventive powers. what people fail to see is kuwabara has a large amount of honor and has some of the best clothes in the anime. mainly because of his awesome jacket. hes also one of the toughest as he can take large quantities of damage even when hes weaker than the others. this is coming from the guy whos favorite character is younger toguro and secondly kuwabara.
