Yeah the earlier episodes of YuYuHakusho weren’t very violent although it is an occult based series, it’s contradictory.

False is correct, life energy is used several times on the show. In the Dark Tournament Saga, Kurama used his life energy to defeat Karasu. Although, he did not die because of the energy he kept from using Yoko Kurama. This still proves that the characters can use their life energy though. Also, Kuwabara used his life energy against Risho from Team Masho and would’ve died had he not recovered his energy from his love of Yukina.

The Mazaku inside him won’t let him die. Not to mention this wouldn’t be the first anime to have some sort of “life energy” type of thing, there is nothing lazy about the concept of life energy.

They do mention life energy again actually. Kuwabara uses it and his life is saved by Yusuke giving some of his energy to him. Yusuke also doesn’t run out of spirit energy nor does he mention running out of it until the end and he subsequently uses life energy. If anything you should be pissed off about Kuwabara constantly “running out” of energy and suddenly having just a little bit more left. If you don’t like the show then don’t watch it. Thank you

The ending was very sweet, but the conclusion to the Suzaku battle was just full of suck. After admitting his spirit energy is now completely dry (for like, the third time >.<) Yusuke was still able to utilize spirit energy-based attacks? And the answer to why he could can't be 'life energy,' because that just seems like a really stupid umbrella-term for Togahashi running out of ideas. T_T (Plus, it's never mentioned in the show again. Ever.)

And even after all that, how was Yusuke STILL able to live? It's not like I'm campaigning for his death, but dammit, I expect some consequential realism here and there.

I feel like there's an endless number of TVtropes to refer the episode with.
